Shelby K Studios had the incredible honor of stepping away from its usual wedding video duties to document the 2024 Cleveland Congenital Heart Walk. We captured inspiring moments and dedicated participants who came together in support of this vital cause. The event, held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, raised an astounding $197,000 for The Children's Heart Foundation, with Cleveland Clinic Children's as the presenting sponsor.
The Cleveland Congenital Heart Walk is more than just a walk—as seen in the video, it's a powerful movement that unites passionate individuals, teams, sponsors, and volunteers, all walking in support of the mission to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects (CHDs). The funds raised help the foundation support groundbreaking research to improve the lives of those affected by CHDs.
A congenital heart defect is a structural issue with the heart present at birth. Some defects are mild and may not require treatment, while others are more complex, often necessitating multiple surgeries over the course of several years.
Participants enjoyed a day full of fun activities, entertainment, and insightful research updates. The highlight of the event was the family-friendly, one-mile walk, which brought people of all ages together in a show of hope and inspiration.
